The Oak View Subdivision above Mancos, Colo. is beginning to feel like home. We put our second frame in the neighborhood in March. The Benson home is an inviting single-story structure with gabled bump outs for the entry and dining room. The focal highlight is a hanging king truss as you walk into the dining room.
We shared the job site with some local contractor friends. It was nice to have some new jokes thrown at us--who would have thought that verts could have a specific top and bottom?
The Benson's brought in a load of fill dirt to try to build a spot for the crane, but whoever they phoned about the sunshine turned out to be the best call of the raising.
